Katy is located in Fort Bend, Waller and Harris Counties, Texas with a population of about 13,000 residents. Several large companies are headquartered in Katy including Igloo Corporation, the Academy Sport and Outdoors, KBR and the Dallas Business Journal. KBR employs well over 4500 employees and is one of the major employers in the city.

Although Katy has several large corporations in and around the city, it is predominately residential with homes located in beautiful private subdivisions. Also located right off Interstate 10 is the Katy Mills Mall, Katy Townsite and Kisd Stadium.
